A poster dedicated to New York found typography screenprint print poster Through modernisation, globalisation, homogenisation and gentrification, local graphic vernacular is gradually erased, forgotten and lost. Upon moving to New York in 2022, I attempted to record the iconic city’s specific visual languages and the history and community they represent. The end result was an Instagram page (@nyc_found_type).
In January 2025, I designed and screen printed a speculative type, or sampler for an imaginary typeface, with a key guiding a journey through the weird and wonderful of New York found type.
